Steve Henderlite
Mr. Henderlite is the President of Perkins Fund Development & Distribution.
Mr. Henderlite’s experience with the alternative investment industry spans more than 25 years of developing, analyzing and investing in hedge fund strategies. Mr. Henderlite’s further expertise in portfolio management, asset allocation, trading strategy research and development, and risk management make him ideal for helping PFD&D serve investment firms with their development and distribution needs.
Prior to PFD&D, Mr. Henderlite was most recently the Chief Investment Officer for Synergie Capital Management, LLC, a CTA focused on short term trading strategies. He was also previously: the Chief Operating Officer and Portfolio Risk Manager for Mission Advisor’s energy focused hedge fund; co-founder and managing principal of HCL Advisors, a consultancy providing customized institutional investment research, hedge fund research and advisory solutions; senior analyst at Benchmark Plus, a $1.7 billion fund of funds focused on managing alpha-oriented, market neutral portfolios; founder and Chief Investment Officer of Trail Ridge Capital (now 361 Capital), which customized portfolios of hedge funds to meet clients’ targeted risk, return, liquidity, and strategy characteristics; senior manager research roles at Dillon Flaherty Partners (now Silvercreek); and manager of economic and performance analysis at the Weyerhaeuser Pension Fund.
Mr. Henderlite earned a BA in Chemistry from Earlham College in 1984, an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Alabama-Birmingham in 1988 and an MA in Economics (Econometrics & Public Finance) from the University of Washington in 1993. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
